Yes, it does exist! National Massage Therapy Awareness Week is every year during the last full week in October to promote the health benefits of massage therapy and the therapists who provide the therapy.
What better excuse for some much needed self-care.
How do I know it’s needed, you might ask? Because it’s always needed! And for many of us, likely overdue but greatly needed. It’s one of the best ways to manage stress, improve circulation, and even get better sleep.
You’ll feel more relaxed from the release of endorphins, your natural feel-good chemicals, have improved circulation and experience relief from pain and muscle tension. Massage therapy also enhances range of motion and flexibility, while also supporting recovery from injuries and surgery.
